One of Sydney’s leading visual art schools for kids and teens, If u like ART, is launching a new service for children in the Blue Mountains.
If u like ART will be providing school holiday workshops and after-school classes in Katoomba from January 2018.
The workshops provide a fun and stimulating learning environment that supports creativity, independence and perseverance.
A strong emphasis is placed on developing and extending skills step-by-step across a variety of media.
Founder, creative director and qualified art teacher Daphne Katos said If u like ART was excited about bringing the successful visual arts program to the Mountains.
“It accommodates all skill levels,” she said. “Initially, we will be catering for children aged from seven to 15 who have a strong interest in developing their drawing and clay making skills.
“Our qualified tutors are experienced and passionate about passing on their creative skills and supporting students in creating their best artwork. In fact, our lead teacher in Katoomba is a local artist and is National Art School trained.”
All If u like ART tutors have the appropriate Working With Children Checks.
School holiday workshops and weekly classes will be held at the spacious and centrally located St Hilda’s Anglican Church at 68 Katoomba Street, Katoomba starting January 17.
