Shopfronts were damaged in Katoomba during a rampage on January 3.
A Berkeley Vale man, 28, allegedly attempted to break the front glass door of an iconic café on Katoomba St, before smashing the front door of a boutique and using an A frame advertising stand to damage an ATM.
“A witness to the incidents has called police and begun to film the accused male who then is alleged to have gone on a verbal tirade,” said Blue Mountains Police Detective Chief Inspector Dietmar Almer.
The man then allegedly smashed a computer store shopfront. While he was being charged at Katoomba Police Station, a woman, 23, also from Berkeley Vale, arrived and allegedly damaged property in the station.
The man was charged with offensive language, and malicious damage x3, and the woman was charged with malicious damage.
