A German woman was rescued by helicopter after falling eight metres from a track at Wentworth Falls lookout on Sunday afternoon.
With injuries to her back, she was unable to walk, requiring assistance from Police Rescue and paramedics. She was winched out in a NSW Ambulance helicopter and taken to hospital for treatment.
Gate crashed
A 17-year-old man from Hazelbrook received a cut to his head when a male attempted to gate crash a private function at a licensed premises in Lawson on Saturday.
The teen had stopped the man from entering, who then took a swing at him and missed, police allege.
“Then the victim ended up on the ground and was further assaulted by the unknown male,” said Blue Mountains Police Detective Chief Inspector Dietmar Almer. An investigation is ongoing.
Dogs in cars
A 76-year-old Wentworth Falls woman has been issued with an infringement notice for committing an act of cruelty on an animal.
At 10.30am on Sunday, with an outside temperature of 31 degrees, a member of the public noticed a dog in distress in a car parked in a licensed premises on Parke St, Katoomba.
Police were contacted and removed the dog, and he was cared for at Katoomba Police Station while contact with the owner was made.
Bourbon thieves
A bottle of bourbon was stolen from a liquor outlet on Govetts Leap Rd in Blackheath about 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
A woman, described as being Caucasian, aged 48 to 50, 180cm tall, with medium build with dyed blonde hair removed the alcohol, police allege.
Then at 6pm on Saturday in Glenbrook, a man is alleged to have stolen two bottles of Wild Turkey from a liquor store on Park St.
He was described as Caucasian, with a tanned complexion, 19 years old, thin build, 170cm tall with short blonde/brown hair wearing a white baseball cap and t-shirt and navy football shorts.
