Great Western Highway truck accident near Blaxland on January 30

There are still heavy traffic conditions on the Great Western Highway following a truck accident on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 1.15pm near Blaxland.

One eastbound lane remains closed to traffic.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time if travelling in the area on Tuesday afternoon.

There are delays on the Great Western Highway on Tuesday afternoon due to a truck accident.

The accident occurred at about 1.15pm on the highway at Layton Avenue, near Blaxland.

One eastbound lane is closed to traffic and traffic is heavy on the highway.

It is the second major incident to occur on the Great Western Highway on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the highway was partially closed following a car fire near Wentworth Falls.
