The Valley Heights Railway Museum will open on Sunday, February 11 as part of the Roaring 20s and All That Jazz festival.
Visitors can enjoy the return of the popular “Trains, Trams and Ts” event at the museum. Attractions will include a variety of trains and rides on the heritage-listed steam tram.
Search out your best 1920s outfit and dress up for the period dress competition with prizes to be awarded.
Extra activities include: Ford Model T cars from the 1920s; live music with the popular Kate Woolfe Trio as they perform smooth renditions of classic jazz numbers - boogie or relax under the marquee.
Children can join the historic classroom re-enactment and learn the old style “three Rs” before marvelling at the display and demonstration by the Sydney Morsecodians as they revive the 19th century art of morse code.
Members of Nepean District Family History Society will be there to offer genealogy tips and tricks to tracing your family tree.
