It will be ’50s rock ’n’ roll at its best with Morning Melodies at The Joan with a tribute to Buddy Holly and rock’n’roll legends Bill Haley, Dion, Eddie Cochrane, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.
Buddy Holly, aka Paul McCann, and a host of rock’n’roll friends, legends in their own right, will entertain with the sounds that stir the souls of fans everywhere. Great musical memories including Oh Boy, That’ll be the Day, Think it Over and Peggy Sue.
Who could forget Dion’s blues-based The Wanderer, Bill Haley with Rock Around the Clock or Eddie Cochran and the Summertime Blues, let alone Buddy Holly’s great friends Ritchie Valens with La Bamba or The Big Bopper with his trademark Heeeeello Baby and Chantilly Lace?
The show is on Wednesday, February 28 at The Joan. Morning tea is served by the Red Cross from 10am in the foyer, with the performance at 11am.
