Excitement is building as the Warrimoo Chorale prepares to take the stage in an afternoon concert at St. Thomas Aquinas Primary School Hall in Springwood, on Sunday, October 28.
The chorale invites you to come along, as director Brian Eggert takes us on “a sentimental journey” through 20 years of nostalgic music from 1929 (Ain’t Misbehavin’) to 1949 (Some Enchanted Evening), with plenty of jazzy, swingin’ fun along the way.

Special treats will include a ladies’ trio singing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, a small jazz ensemble playing Fly Me to the Moon, and Blue Mountains trumpet soloist Lachlan Mahoney, playing three preludes by George Gershwin.
The Warrimoo Chorale has been singing in the Blue Mountains for almost 60 years and is well known for their participation in St. Finbars annual music and readings for Christmas concert, as well as collaborative performances with massed choirs for major works with the Penrith Symphony Orchestra at the Joan (including Handel’s Messiah this year on December 2).
At this concert, the choir will cover the lighter spectrum of golden oldies, romance, and sheer fun.
A delightful afternoon is assured, with afternoon tea served at interval. So, bring a friend and get along to St Thomas Aquinas Primary School (Manning Hall), 168 Hawkesbury Road, Springwood, on Sunday, October 28 at 3pm.
Suggested contributions at the door: Adults $15, Concession $10, and accompanied children free. Inquiries call Christine on 0400 509 697.
