Our client is a global capital goods company specialising in equipment and services for Agriculture and Construction.
Job Description
You will be exposed to the following responsibilities:
- Develop competitive negotiations to drive cost reduction initiatives with the global supply base,
- Meet capacity and quality requirements
- Develops/Implements commodity strategy for assigned parts/commodities
- Proactively work with suppliers/engineering to identify design/manufacturing process improvement ideas
- Develop competitive negotiations to drive cost reduction initiatives with the global supply base, while meeting capacity and quality requirements
- Drive cost reductions through negotiations, rationalisation, market tests, process improvement events.
The Successful Applicant
If you are the right candidate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience in a supply activity with several years of commodity purchasing capability
- You can demonstrate technical aptitude
- Possess project management and process improvement skills
- You have proven examples of driving commodity strategies to improve performance on cost and perform scenario analysis
- You are a proven self-starter with the ability to communicate on levels whilst build long term lasting relationships
- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to perform cost assessments and analysis.
