What’s the role? 

  • Full-time 3-6 month fixed term contract
  • Clerical Supervisors are a core part of the newsroom supporting our journalists.
  • You will be required to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks including handling customer queries and complaints over the phone and email, organising rosters in consultation with section managers, overseeing pays, booking travel, assisting with expense reports and invoicing.
  • The role entails working across a range of shifts including into the evenings and weekends. 

Who you are

  • The successful applicant will have superior attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in accurate data entry and be a quick learner.
  • A news background or strong knowledge across all media is highly desirable. 
  • You will have the ability to work to strict deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Be available across all 7 days.
  • Have a willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
