Brand new role working within a high performing national team Based in either Sydney or Melbourne About the Company: The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a global environmental not for profit dedicated to the conservation of the natural world. They work in partnership with people and organisations across borders, sectors, and political aisles to achieve their ambitious goals to reduce the impact of climate change, protect land and water and to implement sustainability in the cities we live in. TNC currently operates in over 70 countries and have been supporting conservation initiatives in Australia for 20 years. About the Role: The Donor Relations Manager is a brand-newrole joining a high performingnational Fundraising team. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and management of a portfolio of existing and prospect bequest, mid-leveland major donors. You will implement strategic plans to cultivate, solicit and steward supporters through telephone, written engagement including appeals and face to face events, meetings, and trips. This is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored by senior fundraising staff and it offers huge potential for career development. You will also have the opportunity to support and collaborate with the leadership team both in Australia and abroad. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Fundraising team to manage a portfolio of bequest, mid-value and major donors and prospects to maximise revenue Implement a strategic plan to cultivate, solicit and steward supporters through face to face, telephone and written engagement Develop pioneering personal stewardship techniques to retain and upgrade donors Develop and execute highly curated, intimate donor cultivation events for donors Update donor information into the database, produce reports and perform analysis to track, identify and convert potential donor leads Provide writing support for fundraising related collateral including appeals, the website, eDM's and other key channels Collaborate closely with the wider fundraising and marketing team to develop marketing materials and to collaborate on opportunities for further relationship development and to streamline the donor experience Knowledge and Experience Ideally 2+ years' experience in fundraising particularly supporting a team or managing donors within major gifts, mid-value and/or bequests Confident and forward thinking Knowledge of delivering engagement activities including events Highly detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent time management Superb written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify opportunities for growth Be a team player with the ability to collaborate Passion, interest and enthusiasm in the conservation of the environment Application Process: Please apply as soon as possible as applications will be reviewed on an immediate basis.
