Are you a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse, who has had some management experience and is ready to undertake this key leadership role?

About the role

Peninsula Private Hospital is undergoing exciting development and system redesign to provide best practice clinical care and is looking for After Hours Hospital Coordinators to be a pivotal member of the healthcare team, providing after hours leadership & workforce management, as well as leading high quality safe care in the afterhours setting.

This is a casual opportunity.

As the After Hours Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
  • Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments regarding their projected workforce plan
  • Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
  • Coordinate patient admissions
  • Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
  • Coordinate emergent leave replacement

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Recent management experience at ANUM level or higher
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios

Desired criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a health related discipline or management
  • Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements
