Junior Accountant

Your new company
Your new company leads the market in the mining and resources industry and aims to invest in the career development of local talent. They are currently looking to expand their finance team to add a Junior Accountant on a temporary 3-6 month basis with the possibility of going permanent.

Your new role
Your new role as a Junior Accountant will assist the Senior Financial Accountant in day to day finance operations. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Entering, processing and matching invoices
• Weekly pay runs
• Monitor outstanding creditors/ debtors
• General ledger reconciliations
• Provide assistance to financial accountants for adhoc finance reports

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this position, you will be a university graduate with a degree in business, commerce or related qualification and demonstrate the following characteristics:

• Proficiency with MS Excel
• Tax experience beneficial but not essential
• Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday business hours
• Motivation to learn and develop in a new role
