Your new role
The on-site Mine Accountant operates within a small finance team and reports directly to the Finance Manager to support the daily accounting functions. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with monthly financial and non-financial reporting
• General ledger reconciliations
• Preparation of business activity statements
• Assisting with preparation of the annual budget
• Collating of data for variance analysis
• Assisting with forecasts

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you will be a tertiary qualified accountant and demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Experience in a mining, commercial or public practice accounting role
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Ability to relocate and live on site
• Exposure to large ERP systems
• CA or CPA qualifications preferred, but not essential
