Job Description

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, as a Network Specialist you will be required to provide the necessary professional technical expertise and capability to ensure the ongoing and continual availability of network, communication and related services.

You will be responsible for ensuring all network platforms are secure by design, and that all systems and processes are maintained in a secure state at all times. You will need to collaborate with vendors, customers, team members, and staff to provide the necessary support and services.

This Network Specialist opportunity is a contract role with opportunity to extend.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with and exposure to a wide range of Cisco technologies including Catalyst switches and routers, firewall and failover systems, wireless networks etc.
• CCNA/CCNP certification
• Cisco iOS, VLAN and QoS exposure
• Solid understanding of network protocols and systems such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, MPLS
• Have experience managing and implementing
• Amazing problem solving
• Great communication skills
