Your new company

Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Senior Electrical Supervisor to their team to help with their various and ongoing capital works projects.

Your new role

You will be responsible for ensuring that all work carried out in relation to electrical equipment and installations is adequately supervised, including the supervision of electrical staff, contractors and labour hire employees. You will also be in charge of overseeing electrical installations and equipment, and ensuring that they are maintained in a safe working condition in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical projects in their instillation and maintenance stages. Therefore, you will ideally have an electrical background and experience in working in a number of different projects. You will understand the legislation, policies, procedures and standards involved in your field. You will also need to be able communicate well with all employees and stakeholders within a project. Your qualifications will include a Queensland electrical workers licence, current CPR/LVR certification, construction white card and Australian open license.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered an immediate start in a three month contracted role with a federal government agency with the possibility of an extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an OO/1 rate + super. You may also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
