Your New Role

Leidos has been engaged to provide support for Geospatial capabilities to achieve Australia's Defence mission. We are seeking inquisitive and delivery focused people to ensure its success.

We are looking for a Splunk Administrator with experience in the deployment and maintenance of Splunk environments. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the customer and contribute to a large program of work for Defence.

You will have the following responsibilities

  • Assist with design, deployment and maintenance of Splunk;
  • Work with the operational teams to ensure Splunk is configured appropriately and fit for purpose;
  • Develop reliable, efficient queries that will feed custom alerts and dashboards;
  • Create and maintain documentation related to Splunk infrastructure;
  • Undertake routine patching and administrative tasks;
  • Support enterprise Splunk deployments with data feeds from multiple data centers; and
  • Integration and functional testing.


About You and What You'll Bring

You will have the following skills/knowledge:

  • Direct experience working with Splunk
  • Knowledge of regular expressions;
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems;
  • Experience with Forescout (desirable);
  • Experience with common end point tools such as Anti Virus, ideally McAfee;
  • Experience with Tanium (desirable); and
  • Working knowledge of virtualisation and other common infrastructure services.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have an active TSPV security clearance.
