Blackheath golfer Adam Stephens made up for the disappointment of missing the cut at the Victorian PGA Championships in early February by finishing in the top 10 in last week's Queensland PGA Championships.
The talented 25-year-old was in fine form at the City Golf Club course in Toowoomba, tying for 10th place with a score of 268 (-12) after four rounds, including a red-hot final round of 63 (-7) to shoot up the leaderboard.
The winner, Anthony Summers, scored 256 (-24) for the tournament.
Stephens' excellent result has earnt him a place in the Victorian Open which will be held later this month.
He will be joined there with Wentworth Falls golfer Troy Cox, who holds a 2014 Australasian PGA Players Card.
