PANTHERS five eighth Jamie Soward said there was one reason the club has started 2014 on a positive note.
"We are playing good team footy," Soward said.
"Everyone is genuinely excited about turning up to training, putting in the hard work and getting out there on the weekend and putting in good team performances."
Soward returned last week from a back complaint to steer the Panthers to their second straight win at home against the Bulldogs.
The previous week he was forced into every footballers' worst profession: spectator.
"It was hard to sit and watch the Storm game because I wanted to be out there," he said.
"It was important we backed that effort up last week against Melbourne and stayed focused.
"It's equally important this week against Parramatta."
Soward will line up in the halves this week with Peter Wallace who returns from a groin injury which forced him out of last week's game. It's the only change to the team with Josh Mansour still on the sidelines with a small hamstring tear.
One of the marquee battles this week will be the match up between the Panthers' leading try scorer from last year in David Simmons against the current NRL leading try scorer, Eels flyer Semi Radradra.
Eels v Panthers, Saturday, 5.30pm, Pirtek Stadium.
Holden Cup: 3.10pm
