Santa has set off from the North Pole and is expected to arrive here soon.
Luckily the clever volunteers at Valley Heights Railway Museum arranged for their famous steam tram to be ready to deliver him to the excited children waiting at the platform this weekend.
Accompanied by one of his trusty elves, Santa will appear at 11am and 1.30pm on both days.
He’ll stick around to chat with the children while making his way to the 101-year-old roundhouse.
There he’ll sit on his special chair, near the huge decorated tree and give families the opportunity to take memorable photos of their little ones meeting him.
As they leave Santa’s special enclosure, each child will receive a free gift bag from one of the elves.
Everyone can then join in all the usual activities in this fascinating railway museum.
There are new exhibits to enjoy, including two large locomotives recently opened for public viewing. Restorations of steam engine number 3214 (dating from 1892) - and powerful electric loco 4601 - mean that visitors can relive the days when the Valley Heights Depot was humming with the sights and sounds of industry.
Don’t forget there’s unlimited rides on the steam tram for all ticketholders. An extra treat will be the jumping castle, located within the museum’s child-friendly perimeter fence.
