Scenic World at Katoomba has been awarded the coveted Distinguished Family Business of the Year Award at the recent Family Business Association’s national conference in Melbourne.

Selected from a short list of finalists from around Australia, Scenic World was celebrated as a company that has successfully blended family and business interests, one that demonstrates best practice planning for succession and a business that represents quality, value and integrity.

Previous winners of the Distinguished Family Business of the Year Award include Akubra Hats from NSW and Coopers Brewery from South Australia.

Managing Director of Scenic World, Anthea Hammon, said that “as the leader of a third generation family business, I am very proud to accept this award on behalf of the Hammon family”.

“Not only is it a great acknowledgement of all the hard work that we have completed at a leadership level, it also recognises the efforts of the fantastic staff we have here at Scenic World and their consistent efforts to always exceed our visitors expectations.”
