The bridge over the highway at Leura, once used by local groups to advertise upcoming events, is now a banner-free zone following an audit by the RMS.
“This bridge is no longer deemed suitable for banners, following the recent construction of a new off ramp just past the bridge as part a Great Western Highway upgrade, and the potential for drivers to be distracted on approach to this section of road,” a spokeswoman said.
