Katoomba’s Carrington Hotel will be illuminated with artworks as part of the family friendly Culturescape Festival this Friday and Saturday nights, February 17-18.
"The light projection event will combine the creative works of many artists from across the Blue Mountains and beyond in an animated 3D architectural projection show," said Culturescape Festival director Tom Taylor.
Light projections will start at the Carrington Hotel at 8pm each evening and run for one-and-a-half hours. The main projections will be accompanied by live music by Grey Area and Sonori.
Blue Mountains mayor Mark Greenhill will officially open the event at 8pm on Friday.
The main projections by a range of artists will be followed by the "Culturescape Kids" under 18 category.
Food and beverages will be available for sale on both evenings of Culturescape at the main projection area from 7pm.
There will also be a Culturescape Artist's Display in the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Theatrette from 7-9pm on Friday, February 17.
