The circus rolled into town this week in the form of the 31st annual ARIA Awards.
Australia's music night of nights is refreshingly loose, with celebrities likely to wander off the PR-trained beaten track.
This year KIIS 1065's Kyle Sandilands, 46, announced to Fairfax Media and his girlfriend of six years, Imogen Anthony, that he will get on bended knee "soon" and will propose "with one of those", pointing to a $2.2 million diamond choker around 26-year-old Anthony's neck.
"[The choker] will be dismantled and one of those [diamonds] there will end up on that finger," Sandilands said, pointing to the model's ring finger as security lingered in the background protecting the House of K'dor chain.
"Not even I knew that," Anthony said, sounding shocked.
While Sandilands and Anthony are getting ready for "I dos", wedding bells won't be happening any time soon for Sophie Monk, 37, and Stu Laundy, 44.
The pair, who met on The Bachelorette earlier this year, believe "it's a bit early for marriage just yet", while they continue to defend the status of their relationship.
"We are all great, but we read a lot that we are not happy," Monk said, referring to tabloid reports that she has split with Laundy, a millionaire who has four daughters from his first marriage.
Harry Styles popped out to the red carpet to say a quick hello to fans, but avoided media who were shvitzing in the sun waiting for the former One Direction star.
Rebel Wilson and Ruby Rose, who were home to promote their film Pitch Perfect 3, didn't walk the red carpet either, but it would have made little difference to Fairfax Media after Wilson put a blanket ban on the organisation.
On Wednesday, Disaronno brought the Amalfi Coast to Jonah's in Whale Beach for the launch of the limited-edition designer collaboration bottle, Disaronno Wears Missoni.
The world's favourite Italian liqueur went all out for the occasion, flying guests from Rose Bay to Jonah's on a seaplane, where they were greeted with stunning views of Palm Beach and, of course, cocktails, including the classic sour and Angela20.
Jonah's head chef, Matteo Zamboni, created a delicious three-course menu featuring oysters with watermelon and yuzu, mozzarella ravioli in a concentrated tomato broth and white chocolate and sage ice-cream with burnt butter and davidson plum.
It is perhaps the most elegant, and pretentious, picnic Sydney has ever seen - the sixth annual Diner en Blanc.
An estimated 5000 diners dressed head-to-toe in white all rolled into Centennial Park last weekend. The location was kept top secret until the night.
"No ivory, no off-white, and no beige," organisers instruct. And please, dress "elegantly".
