Ballet Art Katoomba has had a very successful year in their new ballet studios located in the old Masonic Hall in Katoomba. Ballet Art Katoomba provides a warm, relaxed and fun learning environment providing high quality teaching standards. Preschool classes provide an environment to develop coordination, social skills and fun through movement and music. Students then enter the graded classes beginning in Pre-Primary and going through to Solo-Seal. The graded classes cater for students who want to attain higher standards as well as those who just want a creative outlet. Ballet Art Katoomba teaches the Borovansky syllabus. The Borovansky syllabus is run by an Australian organisation, the Australian Institute of Classical Dance (AICD). The organistation is not-for-profit meaning all organisation funds stay in the country and support Australian students through scholarships. Ballet Art Katoomba teachers, Kathleen and Courtney, are both members of the State Committee and Kathleen is on the National committee.  The Borovansky syllabus incorporates new steps into the grades every year which keeps students more engaged in the learning process through new challenges and increased creativity. All Ballet Art Katoomba teachers are qualified Borovansky teachers and hold current Working with Children Checks. The school also provides a conditioning class with a qualified teacher, providing a well-rounded education in dance.
