Lower Mountains Neighbourhood Centre will celebrate Harmony Day with a family concert featuring Blue Mountains musicians Mara and Llew Kiek on Saturday, March 24.
“We are very excited to be presenting this event of music from around the world for Harmony Day with artists of the calibre of Mara (voice and percussion) and Llew (guitars, lutes, bouzouki) Kiek,” said Peta Williams, manager of the Lower Mountains Neighbourhood Centre.
“We know that music can nourish and stimulate as well as provide a reflection for how we live in the world, and we are looking forward to this journey to the heart of connection, belonging and harmony. And having some fun along the way!”
The Kieks will be joined by members of the Martenitsa Choir for a wonderful afternoon of folk music and dance from around the world.
The concert will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, March 24 at the Sharon Burridge Hall, Blaxland Community Centre, 33 Hope Street, Blaxland.
