Mabon – the wheel of the year is turning. As summer gives way to autumn, the harvest is brought in, and it is time to count our blessings. To celebrate the autumnal equinox, BGD Productions is having a festival. It’s on Saturday, March 24 at Junction 142, the community centre at 142 Katoomba St, from 7-11pm. Bring yourself and your friends. $10 entry gets you in to see five of the best local talent in a punk idiom. The bands are Barry's Tash 7-7.20pm, an offbeat act who must be seen to be comprehended; Mad Cowboy Disease 7.30-8.10pm, an urban country grunge, Mountains style; Alienativ 8.15-8.55pm, high-energy hardcore from the Lower Mountains; Splatterpoo 9-9.40pm, melodic thrash at its finest; and Rectoplasm 9.45-11pm, three old farts who oughta know better, but don't.
