The Bentley Effect, a film which documents the movement to keep coal seam gas out of the Northern Rivers region of NSW, will be screened at 6pm on Friday, April 27, at Big Beet Juice and Espresso Bar, Shop 13, Town Centre Arcade, Katoomba. The Wilderness Society’s Blue Mountains team, Wilderness West, warmly invites anyone and everyone to attend.
The Bentley Effect is an informative and hopeful story of a community’s heroic stand and shows how strategic direct action and peaceful protest can overcome industrial might and political short-sightedness.
If you are interested in learning more about the environmental campaigns gaining traction in Australia at the moment, and would like to get more involved, there will be lots of information, and friendly faces to talk to at the screening as well.
Entry to this event is $5, and 100 per cent of this fee will be going to The Bentley Effect movement, which aims to support the filmmakers and spread the film to a wider audience. The Big Beet will be operating as normal, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
