Hazelbook Public School raised more than $11,000 at a colour run event in April.
Organised by the school’s parents and citizens association, the funds will go towards providing reverse-cycle air-conditioning for all classrooms, so the un-flued gas heaters can be removed.
“The children had an absolute ball, covering themselves in the powder. They were so well behaved. The Hazelbrook RFS attended and sprayed the kids with water which helps the powder set and added to the wonderful atmosphere,” said assistant principal Lesley Lowe.
With colour everywhere, the students ran multiple laps of the school grounds.
