Free Comic Book Day celebrates the kooky and diverse world of graphic novels in bookshops and libraries across the world and revels in the fun and value of reading comics.
There will be more than 30 titles available for free for all ages including Riverdale, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Wormworld Saga, Avengers, Captain America and more.
Come in character and immortalise yourself with the photo booth experience and the best dressed comic characters can win some prizes. While you’re there enjoy a board game or have fun with the giant chess set.
Comics or graphic novels can be a pathway to a love of reading and are a fun way to encourage young readers.
Blue Mountains Library supports literacy through its extensive collection of graphic novels in all branches with everything from Pokemon to Shakespeare and Yu-Gi-Oh to Huckleberry Finn.
