Police are investigating after a motorcycle crashed in the Blue Mountains on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Great Western Highway and Weemala Avenue, Linden, at about 2.30pm, following reports a motorcycle had veered off the road and into a guard rail.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider, a 53-year-old woman, at the scene before she was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
