The quirky night that’s got a cult following is returning to Borrodell Winery, Orange.
Borrodell, one of the most fabulous wineries in Orange, will host its famous Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner on Saturday, 30 June, 4-10:30pm.
The quirky event sees guests dressed up to nines, search for truffles, then retire to a five-course truffle degustation in an underground wine cellar.
Dinner will be prepared by head chef Richard Learmonth (ex-Porteno, The Unicorn Hotel and Pendolino), served with matched vintage wines from Borrodell, while dinner guests also enjoy live music. There’s also the infamous charity auction of the premium truffle found on the day.
Guests are not only encouraged to dress like they’re attending the Oscars but there are also prizes for the best gumboot. The evening is always a hoot that enamours guests, whether local or interstate foodies who travel to be a part of the event. There’s even a shuttle bus to and from town so revellers can take full advantage of the wines on offer from the award-winning winery.
Guests are encouraged to book quickly as this event usually sells out. Saturday, June 30, 4–10.30pm, cost $285 per person. Tickets https://www.123tix.com.au/events/1320/black-tie-and-gumboot-truffle-hunt-and-dinner or call 6365 3425 during business hours.
