House on the move in Blackheath – literally
A house has travelled in two pieces down the highway from Newcastle to be installed in Blackheath.
The Gazette stumbled across the sight one morning last week, watching as the trailer, carrying the first half of the house house, was backed on to the vacant lot on Prince Edward Street.
The workers used jacks to get the house from the trailer on to the foundations.
The next day, part two arrived. Now the house is a whole. Ready for a few adjustments no doubt but pretty much a fait accompli.
