More than a million people have taken part in London's Pride celebrations, transforming the centre of the British capital into a rainbow-coloured festival for LGBT rights.
Around 30,000 revellers in extravagant costumes marched through the city in the parade on Saturday, campaigning for equality and diversity.
The rainbow flag - which has become a symbol of the movement for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people - was carried by many of the demonstrators, among them the members of local public bodies such as the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade.
It was also hoisted above 10 Downing Street, the official residence of Prime Minister Theresa May.
"Here in London, you are free to be whoever you want to be, and love whoever you want to love," London Mayor Sadiq Khan wrote on Twitter.
Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue, who has a strong gay following, also took to Twitter to wish London a happy Pride parade.
The event first took place in the city in 1972.
This year's Pride parade in London coincided with England's win in the World Cup quarter-final against Sweden, making for a festive atmosphere on the city's streets on a warm and sunny day.
