A group of young people were travelling in convoy to go camping in the Upper Blue Mountains on Thursday morning when a driver on his P plates rolled his car on dirt road.
The group were driving along Point Pilcher Road at Medlow Bath just after 7am when the accident happened.
Blue Mountains Police Chief Inspector Peter Scheinflug said “there was driver inexperience and he’d taken the corner at speed excessive for the gravel road and conditions. He’s run wide and caused the car to roll.”
Chief Inspector Scheinflug said the passenger side of the car had been compressed, with the passenger receiving minor lacerations to the head, and being taken by ambulance to Katoomba Hospital.
