The Blue Mountains Regional Business Chamber is encouraging ‘not-for-profit’ and social enterprise organisations to feature more prominently in this year’s Regional Business Awards.
This sector is one of the largest employers and volunteer bases in the Blue Mountains and offers the highest standards of community support. Many go unnoticed and the 2018 Regional Business Awards is an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of organisations and individuals that contribute so positively to the lives of others.
Entries are open until August 27 and President Mark Barton invites all not-for-profits to complete a submission in these highly sort after awards.
“The Regional Business Awards are the ideal opportunity for community groups, associations, charities and not-for-profits to showcase their extraordinary work and commitment to the most vulnerable in our community and to allow us all to show our appreciation.” said Mr Barton, President of the Blue Mountains Regional Business Chamber.
“We are inviting you to stand tall and let us bang your drum for all that you do.”
Entering the awards is done by completing an online submission with finalists and eventual winners selected by local renowned judges. These not-for- profit organisations can go on to enjoy many high profile promotional and funding opportunities as a direct result of the awareness raised.
There is a total of 21 categories in this year’s awards and together with not-for-profit organisations, there are awards for outstanding achievements in business, customer service, hospitality, innovation and sustainability and of course, the prestigious “Harry Hammon Regional Business of the Year Award”.
Matt Grima of Belle Property and one of the Regional Business Awards proud major sponsors said: “If you have ever considered entering the awards, this is the year to do it.”
