UPDATE: A man missing in bushland in the Blue Mountains was located safe and well on Friday afternoon.
The 27-year-old was located by Polair about 1.50pm in bushland near Katoomba.
ORIGINAL STORY: Police are searching for a man missing in bushland near Katoomba.
David Lustina, 27, embarked on a bushwalk alone from the Katoomba area to the Ruined Castle rock formation about 10am on Thursday, August 16.
Just before midnight police were notified after he failed to return to his accommodation in Katoomba.
A preliminary search was started on Thursday night. Blue Mountains police, Police Rescue, PolAir, and State Emergency Service personnel are continuing that search today [Friday].
Mr Lustina, who is a citizen of the Czech Republic, is believed to have limited cold weather clothing and supplies and police have concerns for his welfare due to the cold weather.
