Gleebooks Blackheath and Varuna The Writers House are bringing critically acclaimed author, Stephanie Bishop, to Katoomba to talk about her new novel, Man Out of Time.
Bishop has a long standing relationship with Varuna and holds a PhD from Cambridge. She teaches in the creative writing program at the University of New South Wales and is one of Australia’s stunning emerging writers.
Her first novel was The Singing, for which she was named one of the Sydney Morning Herald's best young Australian novelists.

Her second novel, The Other Side of the World, was awarded the 2015 Readings prize for new Australian fiction, shortlisted for the 2014 Australian/Vogel's literary award, longlisted for the 2016 Stella prize, shortlisted in both the NSW Premier's and the Victorian Premier's literary awards.
It was also named the literary fiction book of the year at the Australian Book Industry awards.
Man Out of Time is her third novel and will be published this month.
Stephanie Bishop will be in conversation with Amy Sambrooke, creative director of Varuna The Writers House, on Thursday, September 13 at The Carrington Hotel library, 5.30pm for a 6pm start. Cost is $20 ($17 conc) which includes drinks and nibbles.
