Katoomba Neighbourhood Centre is holding a school holiday dance workshop for kids between the ages of 8-14 who live between Wentworth Falls to Medlow Bath.
Josie Vendramini, community development coordinator from KNC, encouraged children of single parents to sign up for this workshop.
"Many single mothers suffer a degree of poverty. We know one of the side effects to poverty is children and young people not having access to opportunities such as after school extra curricular activities because the cost is prohibitive."
She invited children of single parents to attend the workshop, which will be run by Emily Yali (leading the girls) and Eli Erueti (who will lead the guys).
Yali is a local dancer who has bought much joy to the local community with her various performances. Erueti started dancing when he was 13 and joined a break-dancing class.
Cost is $10 (children of waged families) or $5 or free (unwaged or single parents). Parents are not required to attend. Bookings 4782 1117.
