Rainy weather didn’t deter people from enjoying a family fun day at Hazelbrook’s Gloria Park on October 13.
Featuring numerous stallholders, the local Rural Fire Service was also out in force at the event providing displays, sausage sandwiches and a fun game to teach fire safety. Music was provided by Blue Mountains Pipe Band, Neill Duncan Jazz Duo, Lionel Murray Ensemble and Primrose band.
Other drawcards were a mobile animal far, jumping castle and face painting which were all free and were kept very busy. A number of stalls also offered activities for children such as colouring-in, craft and painting.
The oval was too wet for the Tug o War this year, but the monster raffle proved a huge drawcard with more than $1100 worth of prizes donated by the local business community.
Sponsors for the family fun day included the local Pet Health Hub as well as Scenic World Katoomba, Bendigo Bank and Blue Mountains City Council.
The Hazelbrook Association fun day committee spent many hours planning, inviting participants and publicising the event.
