On Friday, December 7, the Blue Mountains Playback Theatre Company will be celebrating 20 years of artistic endeavour and community involvement with a public performance at 7.30pm at Junction 142, Katoomba. All past members are warmly invited and everyone is welcome.
The Blue Mountains Playback Theatre Company is part of a world wide network. Playback Theatre is an exciting form of Improvised Physical Theatre. Moments and stories told from the audience’s lives are enacted on the stage by actors and a musician, impromptu. Where a Playback Theatre performance takes us is unexpected. It can be comic or tragic, hilarious or sad - any old way that life can be.
Over the past 20 years Blue Mountains Playback Theatre has offered regular public performances and workshops, including engagements to perform for community organisations, schools and businesses.
In 2019 there will be public performances on the first Friday of each month starting in March. An “Anyone Can Play” workshop will be held once a month. This is an opportunity for anyone without prior experience to get a taste of doing Playback Theatre. For further information please contact: Sarah 0404 677 637 or Kasia 0427 181 548.
