One of Australia’s premier blues/roots/rock performers, Owen Campbell, will perform at the Metropole Guesthouse in Katoomba on November 17.
Campbell defies easy categorisation. He’s a slide guitarist, a songwriter, banjo player, blues singer, busker, and more. After a spell off the road, he is coming back with a new release, new songs and a fresh approach.
Campbell’s last three albums have been big budget productions, working in the US with the likes of Devon Allman among others. They have netted Campbell continuous top 10 iTunes chart positions over the last six years.
The Sydney Morning Herald has dubbed a Campbell a “seasoned musician with a mountain of talent”.
Argus News Ireland wrote: “Possibly one of the best performers to come out of Australia for quite sometime, amazing lap steel slide guitar and a songwriting ability that belies his years.”
Campbell will be supported by Tally Ho & The 10-to-go’s, the solo indie folk project of Blue Mountains local Oliver Morley-Sattler.
Show at 6pm. Tickets from the venue, corner of Lurline and Gang Gang Streets, on 4782 5544 or at www.fusionboutique.com.au.
