James Padley campaigned for Hassans Walls track

Former Mountains author Keith Painter has written a book about James McMillan Padley, who has a memorial at Hassans Walls near Lithgow. Padley of the Pedestal recalls the life of Mr Padley who arrived in Lithgow in 1902. He fell in love with Hassans Walls and through the Lithgow Progress Association campaigned for a proper track.  The book is available at Gleebooks at Blackheath, Megalong Books at Leura, and Lamdha Books in Wentworth Falls.
