November was a month of milestones for Hess Hami of Blue Mountains Computers in Springwood.
The 34-year-old started the month by winning a Blue Mountains Business Award and finished it by becoming the only Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) in the Blue Mountains region.
Apple customers can now take their repairs and queries to Blue Mountains Computers rather than Apple Stores like the one in Penrith Westfield.
Mr Hami is hoping the Apple connection will be a game-changer for the home business he started in January 2013 before moving to the Town Plaza Arcade at 127 Macquarie Road that December.
“If you are under warranty and you come to us, it still keeps your Apple warranty in check,” he said. “We have access to the exact same systems Apple has in their shop. We have the same diagnostic tools. The benefit is you don’t have to go to the megastores which may have no available appointment times for a couple of days.”
Supporting an area from Lithgow to St Marys as part of becoming an Apple service provider, Blue Mountains Computers has also undergone a complete office renovation as well.
The changes come after they won the Business Service Award at the 2018 Blue Mountains Business Awards held at Leura’s Fairmont Resort on November 2. After being named a finalist for four years running, the win was especially sweet.
“Thank you to all our customers who have supported us and helped us get to this stage of our business. This award is only going to encourage us to bigger things,” said Mr Hami.
