Salty Bones is an alt folk/surf rock band hailing from coastal Victoria. Four very different musicians and people come together in the band to produce unique and powerful music and they never seem to stop grinning or grooving in the process.
The sound starts with powerful gravelly vocals, dusted in epic harmonies, underpinned by thundering, funky bass and jazzy drums, then finished off with sometimes jangly, sometimes blistering lead guitar.
The delivery is heartfelt, the songs are timeless, the vibe is downright fun and these chaps live for it. They walk to the beat of their own drum and it’s a beat worth dancing to. This is one for fans of Fleetwood Mac, Tallest Man on Earth, Jake Bugg etc.
Salty Bones play at Aunty Jacks in Katoomba St on Sunday, January 27.
