Blue Mountains MP Trish Doyle visited Springwood Community Arts Centre on Wednesday (January 22) to inspect refurbishments funded by a NSW Community Building Partnerships Grant.
The improvements have allowed the centre to accommodate larger classes, provide improved visitor flow particularly during exhibitions and workshops, and improve safety for members and visitors.
Ms Doyle said “supporting projects like this, at the Springwood Community Arts Centre, provides extra capacity for these popular classes”.
“The unique, creative artistic community of the Blue Mountains is much the richer for it,” she said.
Springwood Community Arts Centre is a not-for-profit centre offering classes in art and textiles to the community of the Blue Mountains local government area.
Enrolment for the centre’s first term classes are now being taken online www.springwoodarts.org or by visiting the centre on enrolment morning Saturday, February 2 (9am-noon) at 22 Ferguson Road, Springwood. New members are very welcome.
