Every parent knows the time constraints on a Saturday, with school sport ensuring endless trips across the Mountains, and often beyond.
For golfers, this means the traditional playing day is no longer possible.
Which is why Blackheath golf club is introducing the Sunday Golf Challenge.
The weekly event will give even golfing parents the chance to play a competitive 18 holes, and on one of the Mountains' most beautiful courses.
All golfers, men or women, with Golf Australia handicaps are welcome to play the course - and from the championship plates, the way the course architect intended it to be played.
The Sunday Golf Challenge begins in autumn, with the first event on Sunday, March 3. It will be held weekly.
The visitor’s fee is only $15 on top of the competition fee for all starters.
And on offer, some spectacular prizes.
Anyone breaking their handicap in the singles Stableford event will win a box of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls, a dozen of the best golf balls that money can guy.
That means 37 or more Stableford points.
And anyone who manages to score a hole-in-one on the charming signature 17th, will score big: A full set of Ping, Titleist or Callaway golf clubs and matching bag plus a battery-operated buggy.
The Sunday event will provide a challenge to not just Blackheath members, but to visiting golfers from near and far.

Individual bookings are also welcomed as a really good way of getting to meet other Blackheath or Upper Blue Mountains’ golfers.
