Mark Brandi, winner of the debut Dagger Award and the Indie Book Award for debut fiction for his first novel, Wimmera, will be in conversation with award winning local author Mark O’Flynn at Megalong Books in Leura at 6.30pm on Saturday, March 2.
They will be discussing Mark Brandi’s new book, The Rip, which is already receiving critical acclaim.
Brandi is a Melbourne writer with a background in criminal justice and has worked extensively in the justice system, with the result that his new work of fiction is told with great insight and sensitivity.
Brandi has also been published in The Age, The Guardian and The Big Issue amongst other publications here and overseas.
Brandi will be conducting a workshop, “Hooking the reader”, at Varuna National Writer’s House in Katoomba earlier in the day. Phone Varuna on 4782 5674 to book a place.
Copies of The Rip will be on sale on the night and those attending will have a chance to meet the author over wine and cheese. Bookings are through Eventbrite or at Megalong Books.
