Cannabis plants worth $600,000 found growing at Woodford home
Almost 250 cannabis plants worth more than $600,000 were uncovered by police in a Woodford home on Friday night.
Blue Mountains Police found there had been significant modifications made to the property to grow 247 cannabis plants.
Detective Inspector Scott McAlpine said a 25-year-old Vietnamese man on an expired bridging visa will face Katoomba Local Court on March 11 on several drugs charges.

Police awards
Rotary is encouraging the community to nominate a cop for the Blue Mountains police officer of the year awards.
The awards recognise outstanding acts of courage, compassion, understanding, or devotion to duty.
"On a day-to-day basis cops don't get a lot of thanks, so this is good recognition," said Blue Mountains Police Superintendent David Jones.
The nomination forms are available at newsagents or Springwood and Katoomba Police Station and must be lodged by March 14.
Drugs charges
A second person has been charged with supplying drugs in the Blue Mountains, after charges were laid against a Hazelbrook man on February 4.
A 30-year-old Lawson woman was charged on February 13 with perverting the course of justice, participating in a criminal group, and taking part in the supply of prohibited drugs.
The woman is expected to face further charges and police said more arrests are imminent. Both people are part of the same criminal group.
Ugly dispute
Two Chinese tourists and a Sydney man are facing several charges after an argument with a family of Chinese tourists in Katoomba.
It's alleged after two arguments between the three men, aged 27, 50 and 55, and a family of Chinese tourists on February 15, one of the men threw a rock smashing the window of a car the victim and his family were in.
"As a result of this the victim got out of his car to confront the men about smashing his window, and it is alleged one of the men then punched the victim, knocking him to the ground," said Det Insp Brad Element.
The three men were charged with affray, assault and damaging property.
Lock up
Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles after numerous reports over the past week of goods being stolen from unlocked vehicles.
"Police are once again reminding everyone of the importance of removing any items of value and securing motor vehicles at any time you are not with the vehicle," Det Insp McAlpine said.

Nominate a cop: Blue Mountains Police Superintendent David Jones and Rotarian Pat Ainslie are calling for police officer of the year nominations.
