Winmalee's Siobhan Clifford features as Rapunzel in the musical Into the Woods, which takes the audience on a journey through the tales of the Brothers Grimm.
A former Winmalee High student, Ms Clifford was a featured vocalist in NSW Schools Spectacular from 2011 to 2016, and was a member of children's entertainment group Hi-5.
Into the Woods follows the baker and his wife, who wish to have a child, Cinderella, who wishes to go to the King’s festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would produce some milk.
When the baker and his wife are visited by the neighbourhood witch, who reveals that she placed a curse on their family, the two set off on a journey into the woods to reverse the curse. Also in the woods, the audience meets Little Red, who is trying to visit her grandmother, the wolf, who is hungry for flesh, Rapunzel in the tower, and the princes chasing after their loves.
When Jack’s beanstalk brings a visit from an angry giant, witness how the community must come together to save each other and their kingdom, with sacrifices to be made.
This Bloom Creative Productions' take on Stephen Sondheim's musical, will be performed at the Concourse Concert Hall in Sydney from March 21-23.
