BentART, Australia's largest LGBTQI annual visual arts exhibition, has opened for entries in this year's exhibition.
LGBTQI artists from the Blue Mountains region as well as across Australia are encouraged to enter up to three artworks in the 2019 exhibition which will be held on the June long weekend at Wentworth Falls.
Entries close on Monday, May 13. Categories include open category and pets and wildlife, smartphoneography. For 2019, a new category of A6 postcard with the theme "Reassessing Normal" has been added to the mix. Visual artists from all disciplines including photography, painting, sculpture, drawing and mixed media are encouraged to enter.
The annual exhibition offers a variety of prizes including over $6000 in prizemoney.
The 15th Annual bentART Exhibition will be held at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts from June 7-10. A gala opening night event with announcement of the prizes takes place on the Friday night. Entries can be made online through the bentART website, www.bentART.com.au. Entries are open to anyone who identifies as LGBTQI from Australia. bentART membership is required.
